The students of the Good Shepherd School initiated a group in 2009 called
SAMPOORNA with the motto, “Reach out and Reach within”. The
students volunteer through this group to reach out, to touch, care and help the
under privileged and differently abled persons, especially children.
“SAMPOORNA” also provides various opportunities, so that our students become
well – balanced individual, who can face the challenges in all walks of life. We organise
different events, outings and exposure programmes. We encourage the students and
their parents to reach out not just by monetary contributions, but also to teach
children in need of academic help; scribe for children who are visually impaired and
mentally challenged; spend time in rural areas; to appreciate the facilities they take for
granted; reach out in times of natural calamities and above all be sensitive to the
needs of the underprivileged in the society. The response to this effort has
been overwhelming both from parents and students.
The biggest event of the year is “SANTA” during Christmas, where the entire Good
Shepherd family shares the joy of the season with over 800 less fortunate children in
the city.
